WORDPRESS WEBSITE DESIGN IN PURLEAR, NC
A WordPress site you can actually edit yourself
WordPress and Elementor sites for small businesses across northwest North Carolina. You work with Kris directly, you own everything we build, and there is no contract and no setup fee.
Why WordPress rather than a website builder
Builders are easier to start on and much harder to leave. WordPress takes a little more setting up and then it is genuinely yours.
You can take it anywhere
Export it, move hosts, hire anybody. A builder platform keeps your site as a hostage disguised as a convenience.
Edit the things you will want to edit
Hours, prices, photos, a new service. Built so the parts that change often are the parts that are easy to change.
It can grow without a rebuild
Adding town pages or service pages later is adding pages, not starting over.
SEO control that builders do not give you
Schema, titles, redirects, speed. Full control of everything that decides whether you rank.
What we usually fix on an existing WordPress site
WordPress done badly is worse than a builder. Here is what badly looks like.
Thirty plugins doing nine jobs
Each one is a speed cost and a security risk. Most sites can drop half of them with no loss.
A theme nobody can update
Customised directly rather than through a child theme, so updating breaks the design and nobody dares.
Images straight off a phone
Four megabyte photos being resized by the browser. The single most common reason a WordPress site is slow.
No backups
Or backups on the same server as the site, which is not a backup.
Page builder bloat
Built with a builder, then a second builder, then some blocks. The page weight doubles and nothing is editable.
Logins nobody has
The person who built it is gone and nobody knows the admin password. Fixable, but it should never have happened.
How a WordPress build runs
Two to four weeks, most of it waiting on content from you.
Structure first
What pages, in what order, aimed at which searches. Decided before anything is designed.
Copy before design
Written first so the design serves the message rather than the message being squeezed into a template.
Build it light
Minimal plugins, compressed images, clean structure, schema, SSL and analytics connected.
Hand it over
Your logins, a walkthrough of the parts you will actually change, and hosting if you want it.
How you pay for it
WordPress Website Design is part of the monthly plan rather than a separate line item, because on its own it does not move the needle the way the whole system does. Every plan covers the ongoing Google Business Profile work, the local SEO and the reporting, and includes a set number of new pages or articles each month. You pick three, six or twelve depending on how fast you want to build out. A website is a separate one time build and hosting is a small monthly add on. No contract, no setup fee, cancel any month. The plans page lays out what each one costs.
You get the person doing the work, not an account manager
Most agencies put a salesperson in front of you and a stranger behind the work. Here you talk to Kris every time, and the person you talk to is the person inside your Google profile and your website.
You own everything we build
Your Google profile, your website, your domain, your analytics. All of it lives in your accounts. If we ever part ways you walk away owning the whole thing, with nothing to untangle.
Clear pricing and no contract
One monthly plan covers the ongoing work. Cancel any month. Extra pages are $127.50 each on a plan, the same price for every client, with no upsell on the pages that matter most.
We already know this market
We work Purlear and the roads around it every week. You are not paying us to learn where your customers are.
You can reach a human
Call or text (828) 379-1663 and you get an answer, not a ticket number. That is the whole support system and it is the one most owners actually want.
Five ways to reach us
Call, text, email, mail or send the form. Whichever you pick you get a real answer, usually the same day.

Tell me about your current site
Takes about a minute. You get a reply with what I would do first and what it would cost, before you ever get a sales call.
Counties and towns we cover
Every one of these has its own page with detail specific to that place. If your town is not on the list, call anyway. We take on clients across the United States.
Straight answers before you pick up the phone
These come up on nearly every call about this service. If yours is not here, ask it on the phone.
Why not Wix or Squarespace?
They are fine for a simple brochure site and genuinely easier to start with. The problem is leaving. You cannot export a Wix site in any useful form, and your SEO control is limited to what they decide to expose. For a business that intends to rank locally, that ceiling arrives quickly.
Will I be able to update it myself?
The things you will actually want to change, yes, and we walk you through them. Structural changes are a call. That split is deliberate, because sites get broken by well meaning edits more often than by anything else.
Do I need to buy plugins?
Generally no. Most of what a small business site needs is built in or available free. If something genuinely needs a paid plugin, you will be told before it is bought, not after.
What about updates and security?
Covered in hosting at $20 a month, or in a monthly plan. WordPress needs maintaining and an unmaintained site is the most common way a small business gets hacked.
Can you take over a site somebody else built?
Usually. We audit it first and tell you honestly whether it is worth keeping. Sometimes the right answer is to rebuild and we will say so rather than charge you to maintain a mess.
Services that pair with this one
Most clients run two or three of these together. Each one is sold on its own as well.
One conversation. Fifteen minutes. No pitch.
Tell me what your current site is not doing for you. I will tell you whether it is worth fixing or worth replacing, and what each would cost.
